Hiya !
When you are feeling slightly not well, what kind of phrase do you usually use?
This time, the phrase is used when you are slightly ill which means - feeling a little bit bad. Not completely ill.
” I'm feeling under the weather” – slightly ill, feeling tad ill
~ For example ~
Mum, I'm feeling under the weather. Can I stay at home today? I don't think I'm well enough to go to school today.
A : Are you alright? You are so quiet today.
B : Oh, sorry about that. I'm feeling a bit under the weather.
There are similar phrases like " I'm sick. ", " I'm ill." or " I'm feeling terrible." and so on but -feeling / being under the weather is lighter than them basically.
When you want to express that you are slightly not feeling well, then this is the one : )
