a bit nippy ～ ちょっと肌寒い ～

Everyone likes talking about the weather, right?

When a stranger next to you talking to you on a bus, it's always like...

" lovely weather today, isn't it? "... something like that : p

This time, the phrase is used when it's a bit cold.

We tend to use the word " cold " all the time,,, why not learn another way of saying this and start using it!

” a bit nippy / nippy” – slightly cold, a bit cold

～　For example　～

• It's a bit nippy today, isn't it? looks like summer's gonna end soon.

• A : Are you alright? You are fidgeting,mate.

• B : Oh, it's just,,, a bit nippy in this room : p

There is no wrong with using "a bit cold" or something like that at all times. However, knowing and using other expressions make your English speaking sound even better ; )
