Another British slang!
Well, here is one of the most common british slang words used among British people in everyday conversation : )
I love using slang words in casual conversations and I believe that it is better to be able to express yourself in your own way, rather than using cliched phrases
” be (feeling) peckish ” – being a tad hungry
～ For example ～
I haven't had that much food today. I'm a bit peckish now.
Are you feeling peckish?
Peckish sounds a little bit less stronger than being hungry basically.
When you are in the kitchen looking for something light to eat in the middle of night... Yes, that's " Peckish" :D
Bare in mind that it is rather British slang word, so a lot of native speakers who are non-British wouldn't understand what that is :p

基本的にPeckishはHungryよりも若干空腹度の程度が低く響きます。
夜中にキッチンでなんかつまめる物ないかなー、、とゴソゴソしている時。。それがPeckishです＾＾
